Why Axis Chiropractic?
We strive every day to provide the best service possible. We are one of the only clinics that offer walk in appointments and same day appointments for new patients. We tailor each plan specifically for each patient and their current condition. Focusing on the individual needs and not the number of visits we can get.
What Technique do you use?
We Primarily use what is called "Diversified Technique". This technique in our practice takes the best of several various chiropractic adjusting techniques and uses specific adjustments for your specific problem. Most of our adjusting is done by hand, but not everyone is the same. Which method we use is based on the individual, their presentation, and what we feel would best benefit the patient.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we do take most insurances are a contracted provider for many of the commonly used insurances. Keep in mind most insurance plans will have co-pays and deductibles that need to be met.
What if I don't want to use insurance?
We offer very affordable cash plans that sometimes end up costing less than many insurance plans after co-pays and deductibles. This ends up being a popular option for people that rarely meet their yearly deductible.
You only adjust the back right?
That is a common misconception about Chiropractic Doctors. While most chiropractors mainly focus on spinal adjustments, we can manipulate just about every joint in the body to one extent of another. We see many patients with sprained ankles, knee issues, carpal tunnel, and elbow problems just to name a few.
I may have a herniated disc, can you help?
Yes, we see people almost daily with disc bulges and herniated discs. This is a big part of most chiropractors scope of practice and one of our specialties. With a thorough evaluation, we can many times tell exactly where the herniation is based on several tests and often times it will match up with MRI findings which is the definitive means to diagnose a bulge or herniation. Depending on the severity of the herniation we modify how you are adjusted if deemed necessary and are very specific about each adjustment. Many bulges or herniations can resorb if properly cared for but they usually take several weeks to months to fully heal. If it is a severe herniation you may be referred an MD for medication or surgical consult.
Do I need to keep coming back forever?
NO!!!!
It isn't our goal to keep you coming back here forever! The whole reason for any of our patients to be treated at our clinic is to improve your current condition. There is usually a series of visits depending on your condition which may take anywhere from 4-16 visits. Some cases are more extreme and require more care, while other more acute issues may be resolved in as little as a couple visits.
Do you recommend maintenance care?
Yes, once we get your initial issue resolved we can move you to the maintenance phase of care. Much like getting your teeth cleaned on a regular basis or doing exercise on a regular basis, getting adjusted under maintenance care can help you stay more limber, less stiff, maintain range of motion, and releases endorphins which is the body's natural feel good hormones'!
